This means he is a laid-back happy fella, easy to live with ... sweet as the day is long ... but kicks-butt in harness!! with a focused work ethic. The best of all worlds to us. | He's a working machine ... Hooch at 28 mos (March 2006) Hooch is "on loan" over the winter seasons these days to run wheel on Twila's (Quinault's) 16-malamute team training for the "post-Iditarod" Alaska trip. This winter (2006-2007) he ended the season running around 250 miles a week ... whew!! He comes home to "relax" on our shorter recreational runs over the summer ... |

Hooch is a DADDY!! We are proud of Hooch's ability to pass on his wonderful traits ... Hooch first became a proud pappa on December 18, 2005 at Quinault kennels, in a long anticipated breeding with the lovely Remy, a loose linebreeding on Hooch's dad Titan and his family. Hooch was proud pappa to a litter of five with our lovely Josie! (born July 26, 2006) showing he has what it takes in an outcross breeding, too. We could not be prouder of our Hoochie kids, who share their daddy's extraordinary temperament and love for life, soundness, and strong urge to smother everyone they meet with kisses! yet still able to go out and work hard on the trail. Hooch is an AKC/CKC CHAMPION!! Hooch got his Canadian Ch. in 2005, and then took a break from showing to train on Twila's team this winter (2007). He came out for a single show, the CAMEO specialty at the Portland Rose City Cluster. January 18, 2007, Hooch took first in Bred-by-Exhibitor, then WINNERS DOG! for a 4 point major that finished his American Championship! Yipeeee!!! We are SO proud of our first Champion, and homegrown to boot! A big thank you to judge Patti Widick Neale, for recognizing his qualities amongst excellent competition, despite the harness wears and blowing coat :-).
