| Gig Races in Kyoto Nov. 14, 2004 Kobo ran in his first gig race at just a week over one year old ... and had a blast! He took first place in the beginning dog class, and ran an excellent run with his "sister" Yuu in the 2-dog class. |

| BEST IN SHOW at just 12 months old!!!!!!!!!!!!! On November 27, 2004, Kobo gave us cause to weep for joy ... under Judges Akira Hayashida (Breed) and Yoshinari Takeda (BIS), Kobo won Best in Show at just 12-1/2 months old. |

| A year later ... KOBO IS KING!! |
| On March 5, 2006, at just under 28 months old, Kobo did us proud once again, taking King at the FCI International show! This is a huge honor! for Kobo and Yasuko. We are so very, very proud! |
| Kobo won the Pedigree dog award for being the Top Malamute in Japan in both 2005 and 2006!! We are so very proud, and so very happy for, Kobo and his mom. Well done!!! |

| And on April 1, 2006, once again under the Miyake's capable handling, Kobo did the incredible ... at Japan's largest dog show, the 2006 FCI Asian International Dog Show, Kobo took Best of Breed over impressive competition ... and then went on to a Group 1, and on April 2nd in the BIS ring took Reserve King!!! |

Kobo was invited to the 2006 Eukanuba Invitational as one of the Top 6 (all breed) dogs in Japan!! we had a great time in Long Beach, CA, and a huge thanks to Ken Griffith for handling him - and us newbies! - at this Event of a Lifetime for two small breeders :-) Kobo even got to participate in the Educational Breed Booth while it was being judged, which went on to win top honors! pictures to come soon ... |
