And just a month later (April 1-2), Kobo entered in the 2006 FCI International Asian Dog Show, the largest (by far!) show in Japan.
Last year, at just 17 months old, Kobo went Best of Breed over one of the largest malamute entries ever, including many mature specials and American Champions/specials. This helped him earn the 2005 Pedigree Award of the Year!
So this year, we sent lots of good thoughts for Kobo, Yasuko & Kobo's handler Miyake ...
And Kobo did us proud!!!
Taking not only Best of Breed, but Group 1 and then ... Reserve King!!

We could not be any prouder, and words cannot express the tears of joy and happy hearts! Best of all ... Kobo is a beloved family member, and a working dog of great heart. His success in all these areas, including his phenomenal success in the ring, is a tribute to the dedication and love of his mom Yasuko, the dedicated handling Miyake offers as his gift, and of course, to the happy enthusiasm of Kobo himself!!
