So now ... looking to the future!!!
We are so happy to see how well Hoochie has done. He has "the stuff" both in harness and in the ring! Hooch is our first "home bred" pup out of Luna's 2003 litter. And boy, are we proud of him. He is an honest team dog, enjoying both carting and sledding. He's run enough legs to earn his WTDX title (team dog excellent), and has legs on his WLD (lead dog), WTD (team dog) and WPD (packing) titles. Hooch is currently training to run a 500 mile event in Alaska next season. In the show ring, he quickly racked up points nearly every weekend he was out, including his first major, two BOBs and all of his minor points! He also made his first trip to Canada at the Penticton Skaha shows, going WD/BOW every day as a 10 month old puppy for his first 5 Canadian points - and then repeated the feat the next year's Skaha show to finish his Canadian Championship! He finished his AKC Championship in style by taking the major at the 2006 CAMEO Specialty show, after a year out of the show ring.
Hooch was our first generation, and has produced some lovely promising pups to take us into the future! While we wait for them to grow up, we have other threads of our program to weave!
For 2007 and 2008, we plan breedings with Amore (Luna & Zoom litter), Selene (Hooch & Remy litter), and someday will work Kobo, Hooch's brother, into the mix too! These litters are dependent on a lot of factors, of course, including the girls passing their health clearances, and the grace of mother nature in achieving a healthy breeding and litter. For more information, be sure to keep an eye on our upcoming litters page. |
