Puppies!!! Now, who doesn't love a puppy? :-) Malamute puppies are one of the cutest bundles of fur you'll ever see ... but be sure they are right for you once they grow up! It's a good idea to do your reseach before looking at a litter of wiggly & wonderful puppy fur and tongues. Check out the numerous resources of breed information, and meet several breeders in your local area. Click here for information on finding a reputable breeder In the end, once you've decided a malamute is for you, listen to the advice of your trainer, other malamute owners, and the breeder in selecting the right puppy for YOUR home. |

If you are interested in getting a puppy from us down the road, please fill out our puppy application form. This will enable us to help you select the right puppy for your needs and wants. Click here to go to the Puppy Application You might ask, "why fill out one now when there are no puppies yet?" It's a good question. The answer is pretty simple - breeders often have full lists of potential "puppy people" long before the breeding ever takes place, and have many of their puppies sold long before they are born (or even before the breeding happens!). Plus, if we don't have what you are looking for (or when you are looking for it), your information can help us match you up with other breeders that might have what you need. Once you find a breeder with dogs that you are interested in, particularly if you are interested in a pup out of a specific breeding, it's helpful to the breeder to have your name long in advance to allow time for the interview and screening process. And it's helpful to you to know that you are "on the list" for that special litter. Here at Gryphon, we don't have a simple list according to "who signs up first". While a certain amount of priority will go to those who have expressed an early interest, puppies will ALWAYS be placed according to the best fit. Each puppy has their own unique personality, and we try very hard to match their personality with yours and that of your household and lifestyle. We are more interested in making the right matches that will last a lifetime than simply sending off the puppies to the first buyer at the door. Yet it's still to your advantage to be on a list sooner rather than later - that way, we have a chance to get to know you (and you us!), which has a number of advantages for everyone involved. Also, once a certain number of people have showed a serious interest in a particular litter, we will start referring folks elsewhere so there's aren't an impossible number of people waiting for pups from a single litter :-) We are more interested in quality than quantity, and so will only have an occassional litter. If we do not have a litter planned soon, or if you like what you see but might want to look elsewhere before making the big decision, we are happy to refer you as best we can to other ethical breeders with quality dogs that might have puppies that fit your needs. Don't be afraid to ask! We won't be offended:-) We want to help make sure your decision is the best one for YOU, so that it will also be the best for your puppy. |

Our lovely "Amore", Gryphon's Moon Hits Your Eye (out of our Luna & Zoom litter) was bred fall of 2007 to "Austin", BPIS Am/Int'l/Nat Ch. Wencinja's Int'l Man of Mystery. This represents an outcross to lines we much admire for their sound temperaments and overall quality of conformation. Austin compliments Amore nicely and brings several good things to the table! They're here!!! Born November 2, 2007 - 4 boys & 2 girls - more pictures up soon! click here for litter page; here for more 5 week shots Click either Austin's name above or his picture below to go to his webpage at Wencinja. There (if you click the "previous" arrow at bottom of page) you will find links to more pictures of the family - either by clicking on the picture of his mom Kamee, or click the "picture gallery." To see another family member, his brother Huey is here (with a pedigree of the boys at bottom). |

| 2006 - "Hooch" (Am/Can Ch. Gryphon's Moonshine, WTDX) & "Josie" (TaolanQuest Ain't No Pussycat). They've arrived! Click here - d.o.b. July 28, 2006 For the pup that stayed at Gryphon, click here: Monty's page (all of these pups are spoken for & in their new homes) Because we (and the other parents) were so very happy with this litter we may be repeating the combo either this winter or next year, or breeding Josie to brother Kobo while he is here. We will be sure to announce if we decide to go forward with one of these breedings. |
| Another hopeful litter in the next few years is with our "Kobo", BIS Jap. Ch. Gryphon's Moon Over Sea G&H (Hooch's brother). Kobo will be coming back to visit us and show from June to November 2008, and we will be collecting him at that time. We may also do a "live" breeding with him, but we want to be sure we have just the right match for this very special boy. We are currently considering matching Kobo with our Josie - or, we may just wait and use Kobo in future plans. We will be sure to post once we know what Kobo has in store!! |
| We also have great hopes for a prospective breeding soon with our baby girl Selene, Gryphon's Winter Solstice Moon (Hooch & Remy litter). Selene is Luna's first grandpup, a Hoochie daughter. As Gryphon's first "second generation" she is very, very special ... and, happily, also a lovely, lovely girl! She has truly flawless movement, graceful yet powerful, effortless groundcovering movement that you can't help but stop to watch. She has a wonderful sweet temperament, is a solid team dog, and is pretty to boot ... just, wonderful! (ok, so we're a wee bit biased ...). We look forward to seeing her contribution with great anticipation. Selene is pictured at 7 months old top left; 9 mos in gaiting shot; 13 months (taking Best Junior Graduate at CAMEO specialty) on right; and in middle at 12-1/2 mos old with nana Luna on our 2006/07 New Year's sledding trip. To see her page, click here or on a picture above. We'll update pics soon! We hope to breed Selene either this fall (2008) or next spring to "Boss" Quinault's Born to Run WTDX, a linebreeding back to her grandma Luna's Quinault roots as well as the Storm Kloud behind her. Boss is out of "Hussy" (Quinault's Shameless Hussy WTDX), Luna's half sister, and "Broker" (Ch. Storm Kloud's Rrising Market - "Cash" x "Andy"), and is as hard of a worker as he is sweet of a cuddler :-) For a pedigree click here & we will get updated pictures of both Selene & Boss up soon! Meanwhile, you can see a picture of a young Boss at Quinault's page here (dog facing camera in left hand pic). Because of Selene's exceptional qualities, we are also chatting with the family of a prospective beau for second breeding down the road (this time an outcross). This would be a high-quality match with a dog that compliments her and her pedigree, while adding a new pedigree to our program. We are quite excited about this prospect who offers some beautiful old type and many outstanding features from old lines, including great working ability ... we will post here as soon as a final decisions are made. Look for future updates ... |
