For this litter, we named the pups after fashionable footwear ... their momma is Boots, after all! Niece Kaylie, the official puppy namer (with a little help) came up with these great names ...

This is a pretty special litter to us, not just because it matches two of our best moving dogs - both with extraordinary temperaments - but also because it is our first breeding with two "Gryphon" dogs.
We are quite excited to see how these kids grow up!
This breeding doubles on our Amore, who is not only a gorgeous girl and our Luna daughter, but also one of the soundest and cleanest moving dogs you'll see. And her personality? she certainly lived up to her name, that's for sure! A cuddler extraordinaire, she is one of our "house dogs" that gets along with everyone, and has been our lead dog the last 4 years.
The outcrossing we did in our foundation breedings enables us to do this family breeding while maintaining a healthy diversity (ca 13% 10 generation COI). This family combo emphasizes some of our favorite dogs and pulls from the strong traits of temperament, health, and conformational soundness (including clean, efficient, strong yet effortless movement)
we have worked hard to build into our foundation.

A bit about the parents ...

Finn, always smiling! (2 yrs old)
Finn is an
extraordinary dog. It is hard to capture in words the promise this boy
shows - he just turned 2, and with 2-3 years to go to maturity is
already quite something. He's pretty, sure, but then there is his
exceptional soft and gentle attitude, coupled with a contagious happy
eagerness, always willing to go and strut his stuff in the ring & on
the trail ... or whatever you ask of him, really ... in a package that
comes with the clean balance of his momma with a flowing,
ground-covering, effortless yet strong gait that is beauty in motion. At
just over a year he rapidly earned most of his Champion points; then
went on to finish with three majors in just 8 months (and that's
including a summer break!). He just started dabbling in the specials
ring, mostly to keep his adolescent brain in practice :) until he
matures ... but even so, quickly gained his Grand Champion points over a
few months, including BOB, BOS and Select wins over top-ranking mature
specials! He earned his first Group placement at just 2-1/2 years old,
under breeder-judge Sharon Weston. This is Finn's first breeding, and
we are quite excited to see what this promising boy can do.
Boots is another gem, a sound, honest girl who rarely puts a foot wrong and is maturing into an exceptionally solid and beautiful girl in every way. She is a valued member on team, and is part of our "family pack" of regular house girls, getting along with her mom, grandma, daughter, niece and now granddaughters in various combinations. She proved her soundness by sweeping the ring in late 2009/early 2010, winning 8 of her 11 shows as a young adult with 6 BOWs, 3 majors, and BOS wins over specials! & went on to gain a good start towards her Grand Championship with BOB, BOS and Select wins over much more mature specials over just a few months. Bootsie is a special girl!
Together, these two have some amazing potential, matching honest & sound dogs as well as happy personalities and strong health histories. You can read more about each of them on their pages, including health clearances.
