Finn ... well, it's hard to know what to say about Finn that would do him justice. My baby boy, just starting out and growing up. About as sweet of a dog as you ever want to meet, Finn is extraordinarily gentle despite all that power. He's happy & enthusiastic in harness, and with just about anything else you ask of him.
Finn took the ring a bit by storm, finishing with 3 majors and mostly BOWs in just a handful of shows, exclusively out of Bred-by Exhibitor, starting a few days before he turned one and finishing up at 20 months ... even with a summer break in-between.
Finn's first weekend out as a special, just keeping him out a bit to keep that adolescent mind in training for when he grows up, he earned 2 majors towards his Grand Championship including a Best of Breed over a Top 5 specials dog and other highly ranked specials. At just over two he finished out his GrCh with five major wins. Finn then went on to earn his - and our kennel's - first Group placement at 2-1/2 with a Group 4 under breeder-judge Sharon Weston! Finn has hit the AMCA Top 20, is currently ranked No. 1 in Washington
And he's not just pretty. Finn's movement is ... well, extraordinary. Clean and balanced like his mom, maximimum ground-covering reach and drive while efficient and without excess or waste, with an effortless grace that beautifully compliments the power behind it. We have just started working this boy, and given his enthusiasm and drive in the early stages we're excited about his next year in harness.
And temperament? Well, you just have to meet him ... it's hard to describe just how affectionate, friendly & extraordinarily gentle he is, all while exhibiting true joy de vivre. We are just so proud - it is impossible to put proper words, or do justice, to what a joy it is to live with this boy.
Given the slow maturing lines of his pedigree, while seeing such exceptional promise this young, the best is yet to come ... and it is truly exciting to think of the many adventures and possibilities ahead with this young boy.
Stay tuned as we continue to work on getting pictures up on our new website, including Finn growing up & hanging with his buddies, along with that perpetual happy grin.
