Mahina is our very special girl from a breeding by Karin Fischer at Anua Malamutes of Chicago, IL.  Karin bred her Hooch daughter Georgia (a Guinness & Selene sister) to our Mick of Wintuk kennels (Amore & Riser son), and raised a lovely litter of 10 puppies.  Mahina is sister to Karin's Clara, Cam and Piper. 

Karin has been working hard in years of research and planning, and now embarking on the road to build a solid working-malamute breeding program.  We are very honored Karin has shared Mahina with us as an ongoing part of both programs.  Karin has always been an integral part of supporting and building Gryphon kennels, as a friend, partner and constant soundingboard.  We are so pleased to add a member of the Anua household to ours! 

This litter is a double on our Luna, through Georgia's daddy Hooch and Mick's momma Amore ... so a true cooperative family affair!

Mahina is a very pretty girl - but that's not the whole story.  She is smart as a whip, and knows just how to use those charms to get exactly what she wants.  She has shown very promising drive and aptitude for working; has a remarkably smooth, powerful and clean gait; and learns just about anything very, very quickly.  This very vocal girl also gives us an ongoing narrative on her life and ours!  which is endlessly entertaining.

We look forward to working with Mahina in all aspects of our malamutes life!  She is a treasure.
