We have been working with old-school pedigrees in the recent past, and we continue that path with this breeding.
This pedigree brings together our foundation girl Luna's family from several different directions. Luna, Quinault's Gryphon Moon CGC, WLD, WTD, WPD came from a unique blend of old Inuit and Westwind stock (Quinault), a superlative working lineage coupled with top show ring winners. We bred Luna in two different directions. Her first breeding was to SnoShire's Titan, where our Hooch (Am/Can Ch. Gryphon's Moonshine AOM, WTDX) came from. From her second breeding, this time to a very line, Taolan's Zoom, we got our Amore (Ch. Gryphon's Moon Hits Your Eye ROM, WTDA, WD-ROM), who became a cornerstone of our program.
Both sides of our program come together again in this breeding, blended with some pretty exceptional lines from the sires we have been privileged to use over time. The pedigree, as they say, "gets old very quickly" - with the ability to have used some older stock in recent breedings. A particular thread of focus in this breeding blended with Luna's lineage is the old Storm Kloud/Kasaan/Wild Wind through Riser (Sookie's dad, a Wintuk dog who appears twice in this pedigree) and Shiloh's granddad, Terrapin's Gryphon (a Destry & Terrapin son), adding to a similar lineage behind Titan's father. But most of all, we just plain love the individual dogs in this pedigree, the combos we have seen behind this blend and watching the pups grow up into fine dogs in every way, and are incredibly excited to see this special litter!
